ABOUT THE ROLE

A Social Media Manager at 321 is a forward-thinking, creative individual who manages the creation, placement and reports on the success of meaningful and engaging content the 321 develops for all social media platforms. This includes: distributing engaging content for our clients through social media according to a well organized content calendar, making strategic suggestions based on social media trends, providing project briefs and guidelines, managing regular posts by responding to followers, and providing invaluable copywriting skills. This team member provides strong, reliable support to the content team and is in touch with how to effectively promote brands through social media using best practices on each platform.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Social Network Management

    • Demonstrate hands-on experience using social media for brand awareness and proactive community management across Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, and TikTok.

    • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)

    • Build out new social accounts and determine structure to achieve clients' goals.

    • Be a responsible and professional owner of the social accounts for both 321 and clients.

    • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor user generated content, based on company and community policies.

    • Demonstrate strong proofreading and written communication skills.

    • Seamlessly adjust writing to match client brand voices and terminology.

    • Create,  manage, and adapt content calendars.

  • Social Strategy Reporting

    • Assist with the reporting on the strategy, delivery, and ongoing optimization of 321 and client social media campaigns

    • Support the Senior Content Strategist’s social media strategy by having full understanding of the research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification that aligns with the client’s business goals.

    • Actively research and contribute strategic ideas that support the benefits of each platform including Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, Snapchat, Linkedin, Pinterest, TikTok, Tumblr, and more.

    • Assist the Senior Content Strategist on reporting on specific objectives and ROI.

    • Track, monitor and report on social output in order to contextualize effectiveness, and adapt and outperform benchmarks.

  • Social Calendar Planning & Implementation

    • Create and implement a social media marketing plan and editorial calendar.

    • Write, develop, and strategize online content production and scheduling

    • Compile monthly breakdowns of our Google Analytics and social media analytics, recommend improvements, and identify growth opportunities.

  • Public Relations & Networking

    • Support the identification of new media opportunities and communication with social media influencers.

  • Internal & External Collaboration

    • Adhere to specific brand guidelines and social media best practices, while working within budget and timeline constraints.

    • Distill client feedback to make necessary adjustments to projects while maintaining the overall social strategy.

    • Work closely and collaborate with project associated departments, including Creative, to deliver quality, impactful posts.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, English Literature, Creative Writing, or a relevant field of study.
  • 2+ years of agency or client-based social media management experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a team, with a strong interest in cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Must be professional, personable, self-motivated and flexible.
  • High energy and creative with a sense of humor.
  • Should possess a combination of analytical and creative skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and under pressure on multiple projects and client needs.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and comfortable with change.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in all major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, and YouTube) and social media technology (Sprout, etc)
