Golda Velez

Golda Velez has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Golda began their career as the Founder of Internet Workshop, a search technology company, where they worked from 1995 to 2014. During this time, they developed and licensed search engines and provided website creation and server administration services for approximately 100 clients.

In 2012, Golda worked as the Head of Platform at AttorneyFee.com, where they implemented a spider/votes system to aggregate data and imported around 1 million attorney data points. Golda utilized Django and MySQL for this project.

Golda also had a contract role as a Senior Software Engineer at Oracle Corp from March 2012 to November 2012.

From 2013 to 2015, Golda worked at Junyo as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on data analysis and analytics. Golda designed and implemented an event data processing system and a Django-based system for educational object gathering and mapping.

In 2016, Golda co-founded civ.works, a company where they worked until December 2017.

From 2015 to 2018, Golda worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Crowdpac, where they designed and led the implementation of a data pipeline and conducted machine learning analysis using Python, pandas, MySQL, and Flask on AWS. Golda also utilized Google APIs for this project.

Golda then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Postmates Inc. from July 2018 to January 2021. In this role, they focused on risk management and utilized their skills in python and pandas.

From January 2021 to November 2021, Golda worked as a Senior Software Engineer in the Data Platform team at Uber.

Golda's most recent role is as a Senior DevOps Engineer at 3Box Labs, starting in March 2022.

Additionally, in 2019, Golda co-founded What's Cookin' Inc and serves as an angel investor.

Golda Velez attended Caltech from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics. Additionally, in 1987, during the same year, they also attended University High School, although no degree or field of study is specified.
