Danny Browning

Danny Browning has a wide range of work experience in various roles and companies. Starting from their most recent position, they are currently working as a Senior Protocol Engineer at 3Box Labs since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the VP of Products at DuskRise from June 2022 to November 2022 and also held the position of Distinguished Engineer at the same company from February 2022 to June 2022.

Before joining DuskRise, Browning worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Dragos, Inc. from March 2020 to February 2022. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Verizon from July 2019 to March 2020, where they primarily worked with Rust and involved in packet capture and processing.

Browning also has experience at ProtectWise, Inc. where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2014 to March 2020 before it was acquired by Verizon. During their time at ProtectWise, they were part of the platform team and worked on handling real-time data processing at scale using Scala, Akka, and the JVM.

Danny started their career as a Software Engineer at Markit from May 2012 to May 2014, where they focused on creating back end services and used various tools such as CMake, sbt, and MongoDB.

Prior to Markit, Browning worked at Applied Research Associates as a Scientist from May 2007 to May 2012, where they worked on real-time military effects representation and cross-platform networking.

Browning's earliest work experience was as a Research Assistant at the University of Idaho from May 2004 to May 2007, where they worked on mathematical modeling and simulation using Mathematica and C++.

Danny Browning attended the University of Idaho from 1999 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science. Danny then pursued further studies in Computational Biology at the same university from 2004 to 2007.
