Grigoris Athanasiadis

Grigoris Athanasiadis has been working in the software engineering and web development industry since 2011. Grigoris has held various roles, including ADSL Helpdesk, Sales Assistant, and Call Agent at Hellenic Telecommunications Organisation from 2011 to 2014, Web Developer at EUROPEAN DYNAMICS from 2014 to 2015, Web Developer at Sky from 2015 to 2018, Software Engineer at OVO Energy from 2018 to 2020, Scala Engineer at GiMonad Solutions Ltd and HooYu from 2020 to 2022, and currently holds the role of Senior Scala Software Engineer at 47 Degrees | Part of Xebia since 2022. During their time at OVO Energy, they were part of the team responsible for selling green products to customers and worked with Scala using libraries from the Typelevel ecosystem. At Sky, they developed a web application for customers to buy mobile plans and handsets using Scala, React JS, and GoCD.

Grigoris Athanasiadis obtained their Engineer's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) between 2005 and 2012. Grigoris then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Software Engineering at the University of Southampton between 2013 and 2014.
