Gabriel Alonso Imaz

Gabriel Alonso Imaz has a long history of experience in the energy industry. In 1998, they began their career as a Business Development Manager for Gamesa Energia. In 2002, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Navitas Energy. In 2005, they were appointed Executive Director of Gamesa Energy USA, LLC. In 2007, they served as Managing Director of North America for Energias de Portugal S.A., EDP, and Chief Operating Officer of Horizon Wind Energy. Gabriel was also a Member of the Board of Directors for the American Wind Energy Association in 2008. From 2008 to 2018, Gabriel Alonso Imaz was Chief Operating Officer of North America and Chief Executive Officer of EDP Renováveis, S.A. During this time, they were also a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of EDP Renováveis, S.A. In 2018, they became Executive In Residence of Quantum Energy Partners and Chairperson of ConnectGEN LLC. Most recently, in 2019, they founded 547 Energy, where they serve as Founder, CEO, and President.

Gabriel Alonso Imaz attended the University of Chicago from 2008 to 2009 and completed the Advanced Management Program. Gabriel then attended the University of Deusto from 1991 to 1996 and earned a Derecho Económico in Derecho & Economia.
