Hellen Alvarado is an experienced Data Analyst at 60 Decibels since August 2022, with extensive volunteer experience at the Colombian Red Cross focusing on Sexual and Reproductive Health and peacebuilding since December 2013. Hellen held the position of Institutional Doctrina Intern, where responsibilities included supporting training on human rights and conducting doctrinal analyses. Academic contributions include serving as a Research Assistant at Duke University, aiding a PhD candidate with research on armed conflict in Colombia, and various roles as a Teaching Assistant at the University of the Andes for Public Policy and Public Leadership programs. Hellen coordinated the Security and Defense Research Group at the University of Los Andes, conducting analyses and overseeing agenda updates. Hellen holds a degree in Government and Public Affairs from Universidad de Los Andes.
