Rui Ferreira has a strong background in strategy and has worked for several well-known advertising agencies. Starting in 2014, Ferreira worked at Ogilvy Paris as a Strategist, where they were involved in projects for Netflix, Dove, and Nestlé. During this time, they were recognized as one of the 14 Ogilvy Young Stars at the 2015 Cannes Lions and helped launch Netflix in France, winning two Cannes Lions in creative data.
In 2018, Ferreira joined Saatchi & Saatchi UK as a Senior Strategist and later became a Strategy Director. In these roles, they led strategy for clients such as Direct Line, Marie Curie, and Gategroup. Ferreira played a significant role in launching Direct Line's new brand identity and creative platform, 'We're on it', as well as developing new products and services. Rui'swork for Marie Curie included encouraging discussions about death, organizing the National Day of Reflection, and helping raise over £5 million in just two months for their Emergency Appeal. During their time at Saatchi & Saatchi UK, Ferreira's contributions earned him recognition with various awards, including 1 Cannes Lion, 2 D&AD Pencils, and 1 Clio.
Most recently, Ferreira joined 72andSunny in 2022 as a Strategy Director.
Rui Ferreira began their education at Lycée Janson-de-Sailly, where they attended high school from 2001 to 2008. Following this, they attended Université Paris Cité in 2008 and 2009, where they pursued studies in medical school. Rui then transferred to Université Paris-Sorbonne from 2009 to 2011, where they focused on modern literature. Finally, they concluded their education at CELSA Paris-Sorbonne, specializing in communication studies from 2011 to 2014.
