Mark Belles

Mark Belles has a long and successful career in the technology and education industries. Mark began their career in 1991 as a Global Client Executive at IBM. In 2000, they moved to Dimension Data as the Senior Vice President of Global Alliances and Technology, where they managed a global alliance and technology team of 25 individuals that delivered over $1.5 billion in revenue and $33 million in value. In 2003, they joined Vignette as the Vice President of Global Alliances and Business Development. After a brief stint at Virtuoso, LTD as Executive Vice President of Sales and Service, they moved to Blackboard in 2007, serving in various roles such as Senior Vice President of K-12, General Manager of Australia, New Zealand and China, Senior Vice President of Global Sales Operations and Strategy, and Vice President of Global Sales Operations and Strategy. In 2015, they joined Teaching Strategies, LLC as President and Chief Operating Officer. In 2016, they moved to Relias as the Chief Operating Officer. In 2019, they joined Inside Higher Ed as a Board Member, Chief Executive Officer, and Publisher and COO. In 2021, they joined ContinuumCloud as the Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, they joined 7 Mindsets in 2022 as Chief Executive Officer.

Mark Belles attended St. Olaf College from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a BA in Mathematics and Economics. In 1989, they also attended Lancaster University and the University of Cambridge, though they did not earn any degrees from either institution.
