Kip Larson

Kip Larson has an extensive work experience spanning over different companies and roles. Starting from 2005, Kip worked as a Consultant to the GM at China Decision Makers Consultancy, where they generated marketing materials and led the sales force for high-value sponsorships. From 2007 to 2008, they served as an Engagement Manager at SRS2 Software, acting as the primary point of contact for clients' Oracle ERP upgrade and migration projects. At Tenet Healthcare, Kip was part of the MBA Development Program in Finance and was involved in developing statistical models and information systems to improve forecasting and operational planning. Kip joined Amazon in 2012 and held the role of Sr. Product Manager - Operations Simulation until 2013. Following that, they worked as a Senior Manager of Product Management - Labor & Capex Planning Technology, leading teams dedicated to forecasting customer demand and optimizing labor planning. In 2017, Kip became the Senior Manager of Product Management - AWS IoT at Amazon Web Services, focusing on leveraging machine learning and operations research modeling on industrial IoT data. Kip later took on the role of General Manager, AWS Industry Products -- Supply Chain at Amazon Web Services from 2021 to 2022. Currently, Kip is the Chief Technology Officer at Avantus Clean Energy, leading the technology organization in their mission to combine software and utility-scale solar generation and energy storage technology. Throughout their career, Kip has demonstrated expertise in areas such as machine learning, econometric modeling, and network optimization.

Kip Larson holds an MBA degree with a focus on Finance, Decision Sciences, and Strategy from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, which was achieved from 2008 to 2010. Additionally, Larson also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Chinese (Double Major) from Duke University, spanning from 2000 to 2004.
