Igor Zhilyaev

Research Simulation Engineer at 9T Labs

Igor Zhilyaev has a diverse work experience in research and academia. Igor started their career in 2010 as a Researcher at the Southern Science Center of the Russian Academy of Science, where they focused on numerical simulation and optimization of composite structures manufacturing processes. In 2015, they worked as an Invited Researcher at the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research. From 2010 to 2016, they also served as a Teaching Assistant at the South Federal University. In 2018, they joined the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW as a Researcher, where they worked on numerical simulation, optimization, and material model development for composite structures. Currently, they are working as a Research Simulation Engineer at 9T Labs.

Igor Zhilyaev received their Master's degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Southern Federal University (formerly known as Rostov State University) in the years 2005 to 2010. Following this, they pursued their PhD in the same field at the same university from 2015 to 2018, earning the degree of Candidate of Science.
