Cynthia Nichols-Webb began their career in 1984 as a Software Engineer at TRW Defense Systems Group. In 1992, they moved to Advanced R&D, Inc. as a Software Engineer/Consultant and then to Coleman Research Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer. In 1998, they returned to Tec-Masters, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, and then moved to Maximum Technology Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer in 1999. In 2003, they joined InnoVision, Incorporated as a Senior Software Engineer/Consultant, where they monitored individual budget hours on contracts, prepared bi-weekly consultant cost invoices and status reports, and used Quickbooks accounting software to maintain company financial records, process payroll, and file federal and state taxes. Cynthia also developed and maintained interface software in Ada and C to integrate the high-fidelity THAAD Missile Simulation into the SOLD, and participated in the operation of the SOLD, Radar, and TFCC console modules during lab-system exercises. In 2010, they returned to Tec-Masters, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, and in 2012, they joined A-P-T Research, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they supported the SED Software Airworthiness Safety Lab in the development of MATLAB/Simulink models to perform code-coverage analysis of software safety requirements for various helicopter systems, and utilized the Architecture Analysis Design Language to construct model-based architecture representation of helicopter subsystems for safety properties analysis.

Cynthia Nichols-Webb earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in 1986. Cynthia then obtained a Certificate in Systems Engineering from UAHuntsville Professional & Continuing Studies in 2012.
