Safety & Mission Assurance Quality Engineer at A-P-T Research

Ismael J Mendez has a wealth of experience in engineering and quality assurance. Ismael J began their career in 2000 as an Engineering Staff IV at United Space Alliance, where they developed new systems and modified other sustaining engineering, focusing on fluid system design and development. Ismael J then moved to ASRC Aerospace in 2007, where they provided technical oversight of the construction of the KSC support facility systems and ground support equipment for NASA's Constellation Program. In 2011, they joined Siemens Energy as a Sales Engineer, where they coordinated with management team on customer Request for Proposals (RFPs) and led the cross functional team. Ismael J then moved to Jacobs in 2018 as a Senior Fluids Design Engineer for NASA's Test & Operations Support Contract (TOSC) for Space Launch Systems (SLS). In the same year, they also began working at APT (A-P-T Research, Inc.) as a Safety & Mission Assurance Quality Engineer, where they developed processes such as surveillance, performed QE assessments, risk management, nonconformance trends, quality metrics, and prepared and executed audits in support of AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS). Finally, in 2018 they joined NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration as a Quality Engineer.

Ismael J Mendez obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2000.
