Ashley Krenn has worked in the education sector since 2008. Ashley began their career as a Substitute Teacher and JV Tennis Coach for the Chartiers Valley School District. In 2009, they were a Long Term Substitute Teacher for Avella Area Junior/Senior High School, where they taught 7th and 8th grade science classes. In 2010, they were a Long Term Substitute Teacher for Fort Cherry School District, teaching 7th Grade Science and Environment Science. In the same year, they were a Long Term Substitute Teacher for Upper Saint Clair High School. From 2011-2019, they worked for Lincoln Learning Solutions in various roles, including Subject Matter Expert and Curriculum Developer, Science 7-12, 6-8 Science Curriculum Lead, Manager of Science Curriculum Development (7-12), Science Curiculum Reviewer/Writer, and Science Teacher. In 2019, they took on the role of Project Manager for A Pass Educational Group, LLC. In 2021, they began working for Carolina Biological Supply Company as Manager of Digital Product Development, where they manage all aspects and stages of the product development process for the development of digital science education resources.

Ashley Krenn obtained a Bachelor's Degree from PennWest California in Secondary Education, with a concentration in Earth and Space Science, between 2005 and 2008. In addition, they have obtained three certifications: Instructional Design: Storyboarding from LinkedIn in July 2019, and two Pennsylvania Department of Education certifications for 7-12 Earth and Space Science and General Science 7-12.
