Chirag Patel

Chirag Patel has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and network management. Chirag recently joined A10 Networks, Inc as a System Engineer in 2021. Prior to that, Chirag worked at SPI (Spirent Communications) for over 13 years as a Sr. Systems Engineer, providing technical pre-sale support in the Northern Virginia, D.C., and Maryland regions.

Before their time at SPI, Chirag was employed at Verizon as a DMTS (Senior Network Engineer) from 2004 to 2007. Here, they played a key role in implementing and testing broadband technologies, such as DSL and FiOS, and provided support to the broadband network infrastructure.

Earlier in their career, Chirag worked as a Sr. Network Engineer at Computer Science Corporation, where they were responsible for developing and deploying service provider networks for Maryland State agencies. Additionally, they gained experience as a Broadband Engineering Manager at Level3 (Genuity), overseeing a team and making recommendations for broadband network architecture.

Chirag's work experience also includes a role as an RF Test and Planning Engineer at SRA/CSC, where they supported the integration and testing of RF Tactical communication systems on Navy platforms, conducted EMC analysis, and participated in communication system demonstrations.

Overall, Chirag Patel has a strong background in engineering and network management, with experience in technical pre-sales, broadband technologies, and network deployment for both government agencies and private companies.

Chirag Patel obtained a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, completing their studies between 1991 and 1995. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S. EE) and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics (B.S. Mathematics) from the University of Maryland from 1988 to 1990.
