Vitalija Lavreckyte has a strong background in the carbon markets and climate change sector. 💙💛 Vitalija began their career at ClimateCare as a Junior Business Development Executive, where they worked with organizations to turn their climate responsibilities into positive outcomes by funding sustainable development projects. In 2018, Vitalija joined South Pole as an Associate Carbon Portfolio Manager, supporting the development of comprehensive strategies and innovative tools to help clients achieve their carbon mitigation and Net Zero goals. 💙💛 Vitalija was later promoted to Carbon Portfolio Manager and then to Senior Manager, Structured Carbon Deals. At South Pole, Vitalija played a crucial role in creating business opportunities for Fortune 500 companies, governments, and organizations to combat climate change. Currently, they are the Head of Origination at Abatable, where they contcontinueleverage their expertise in the field.

Vitalija Lavreckyte began their education at the Kaunas University of Technology Gymnasium, where they completed their high school studies. Afterward, they attended the University of St Andrews from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Master's degree in Human Geography. Later, in 2022, they enrolled at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management to pursue a Master's degree in Leadership in Sustainable Finance, which they are expected to complete in 2024.

In addition to their formal education, Vitalija Lavreckyte obtained two certifications. In April 2023, they became a Certified Expert in Accounting, Leadership & Sustainability from the Frankfurt School Sustainable World Academy. At the same institution, they also earned the certification of Certified Expert in Agricultural Finance during the same month and year.
