TJ Mercer is an accomplished leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) with extensive experience across various industries. Currently serving as the Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging for AbbVie, TJ is integral to the HR leadership team, driving global DEI strategies for a workforce of 16,000 employees. Previously, as Sr. Director of Inclusion & Belonging at Experian, TJ championed regional DEI initiatives and provided strategic guidance to executives for employee engagement and talent acquisition. Additional roles include leadership positions at Slalom, Cushman & Wakefield, and CDW, specializing in talent strategy and HR consulting, alongside a distinguished 10-year career in human resources with the U.S. Army. TJ holds an MBA in Management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and has completed the Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional Course at Northwestern University.
