Michelle Chan is an Associate Research Scientist at AbCellera since March 2020, previously serving as a Production Technician. Prior experience includes a role as a Student Researcher at BC Cancer from January to December 2019, where research focused on the sensitization of triple-negative breast cancer cell lines and studies on autophagy in Drosophila. Michelle also volunteered at Simon Fraser University, preparing and characterizing genomic DNA, performing plasmid extractions, and conducting mutagenesis and protein purification from May to September 2018. Additionally, a CO-OP Research Assistant role at Simon Fraser University from January to December 2017 involved screening P450cam mutants and performing various biochemical assays. Michelle holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University and completed the American Degree Program in Biosciences at HELP University.
