Nicole Maynard

Director of Product Design at Able

Nicole Maynard is the Director of Product Design at Able. Nicole has over 15 years of experience in product design, user experience, and digital design. Nicole has led multiple redesigns of consumer-facing products and internal tools, always with a focus on the customer experience. Nicole has a proven track record of delivering measurable business value through their user-centered design approach.

Most recently, Nicole oversaw the evolution of the customer experience for Hyatt Hotels Corporation across digital touchpoints including web, mobile apps, and hotel digital touchpoints. Nicole introduced UX team to Agile and Lean methodologies, implemented a process framework to ensure UX was part of the scrum team, and clarified roles which lead to smoother sprints, less confusion, and better collaboration among product teams. Nicole also led the development and implementation of Hyatt’s digital design system to align customer experiences across all digital solutions.

Before their time at Hyatt, Nicole was at Cars.com where they led a team of managers and ICs that performed research, interaction and visual design, data visualization. Nicole supported and directed redesign of consumer, customer-facing product experiences and delivered new internal tools as part of a large-scale cloud technology transformation. Under their leadership, Cars.com saw a 3-year high in consumer shopper satisfaction in 2019 and an all-time high new visitor return rate in 2020.

Nicole is passionate about product design and delivering great customer experiences. Nicole is excited to be able to continue doing that at Able.

Nicole Maynard has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications from the Illinois Institute of Art- Schaumburg. Nicole is currently working as a freelance graphic designer.

Nicole Maynard reports to Ben Lim, Group Director of Product. They are on a team with Jim Saraco - Director of Product Management, Pradeepa Dhanasekar - Director of Engineering.
