Leyu Wang (Frank)

Frank Leyu Wang, Ph.D., currently serves as a Research Fellow in Drug Creation at Absci since March 2024. Previously, Wang held the position of Vice President of Biologics and Chief Scientist at Leveragen from April 2022 to June 2023, where significant advancements in humanized mouse models for antibody discovery were achieved. Wang's extensive experience includes Project Leader in Biologics and Protein Science at AbbVie, leading immune-oncology antibody therapeutic discoveries, and roles at Pfizer and GEO-CENTERS/Naval Research Laboratories focused on protein engineering. Wang's academic journey culminated in a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from New York University, complemented by earlier degrees in Physical Chemistry from Peking University. Throughout the career, emphasis on leadership in biologics research, collaboration, and innovation has been paramount.
