Erik Champenois

Erik Champenois has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Erik currently works at Abt Associates as a Business Development Lead, where they manage bids from capture to proposal stage and supports trainings on business development roles and processes. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Business Development Specialist at the same company, specializing in governance and energy proposals. Before joining Abt Associates, Erik worked as a Virtual Student Federal Service Intern at the United States Department of Defense, where they conducted research on North African affairs. Erik also gained experience in grant management and evaluation at Grantwell, where they served as a Senior Project Officer and a Grantwell Student Project Volunteer. Additionally, Erik worked as a Danish Knowledge Management Specialist at Upwork, where they analyzed and entered data in a knowledge management database. Erik also served as a Research Assistant at the Brookings Institution and as a Marketing Knowledge Management Specialist at Clearspire. Erik started their career as a Research Assistant at AidData, where they geocoded foreign aid projects and reviewed World Bank proposal documents. Erik also gained experience as an Intern at the Institute of International Education. Erik holds a Benjamin A. Gilman scholarship and conducted study abroad research in northern Uganda during their time at Brigham Young University. Erik Champenois completed their Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Nonprofit Management at the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in Political Science and American Studies from Brigham Young University. In 2020, Erik also obtained a certification in Systems Thinking from LinkedIn.
