Chris Qualls is an accomplished outdoor education professional with extensive experience in wilderness programs and instruction. Currently serving as the WAB Wild Program Coordinator at the Western Academy of Beijing since August 2016, Qualls also founded and directs Journey Wilderness Adventures, which offers multi-day wilderness hiking, camping, and kayaking experiences in China's remote areas. Additionally, Qualls is a Level 4 Whitewater Canoe Solo and Tandem Instructor with the American Canoe Association and holds the Wilderness First Responder certification from WMI of the National Outdoor Leadership School. Qualls' prior experience includes serving as Site Director and instructor at Passages Adventure Camp. Educational background includes studies at China Agricultural University, Montreat College, and Lee University, culminating in a degree in Theology and Intercultural Studies.
