Awilda C. has a diverse work experience in various healthcare organizations.

Starting from 2005, they worked as an HIV Test Counselor/Case Manager at Open Door Family Medical Center, where they provided counseling and tested patients for HIV/AIDS antibodies.

From 2008 to 2012, Awilda worked as an HIV/AIDS Counselor at Bronx AIDS Services, engaging youths and testing for HIV/AIDS. AWILDA also educated the community about the transmission and prevention of the disease.

In 2012, they joined Morris Heights Health Center as an HIV/AIDS Health Educator, a position they held until 2014.

Awilda then worked as a Care Coordinator Outreach Specialist at Palladia, Inc. in 2014, before becoming a Supervisor of Outreach Services at Harlem United from January to June 2015.

From September 2015 to August 2017, they were a Health Educator at Argus Community, where they worked on obtaining CHES credentials and was responsible for health education.

Awilda then served as a Case Manager at SUS:Palladia from August 2017 to March 2019, providing housing and support services to individuals and families in New York City and Long Island.

Currently, they are a QIDP/Care Manager at Advance Care Alliance, where they support individuals in living their healthiest and most meaningful lives as part of a Care Coordination Organization/Health Home (CCO/HH).

Awilda C. has a diverse education history focused on public health and related fields. In 2014, they attended Monroe College and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, which they completed in 2017. During the same period, from 2014 to 2015, they also pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS degree in Health and Medical Administrative Services from Monroe College.

In 1999, Awilda attended SUNY Westchester Community College and obtained a Certified NYS DOH ServSafe degree in Food Services, which they completed in 2000. Returning to Monroe College in 2012, they engaged in studies related to Public Health and Social Work, although the specific degree obtained during this period is not specified.

In 2020, Awilda briefly enrolled at John Hopkins University for a specialized program in Public Health focused on COVID-19.

Additionally, Awilda C. has obtained a certification as an NY State Citizen Public Health Leader from Cornell University in April 2021.
