Janine Gerbino

Janine Gerbino has a diverse work experience in the field of providing support services for developmentally disabled individuals and their families. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Community Based Services Coordinator at SKIP of NY, where they contacted Developmental Disabilities Service Offices to enroll families in Community Habilitation and Respite services. Janine also supervised part-time Community Habilitation and Respite Instructors. From 2012 to 2016, Janine held several part-time positions while earning their college degree. These positions included Direct Support Specialist at APluscare Behavioral Health, where they provided basic support services for developmentally disabled adults and their families, and Child Care Worker at Safe Harbor Healthcare Services, where they provided in-home services for children with developmental disabilities. In 2016, they joined Advance Care Alliance as a Medicaid Care Manager, responsible for assisting developmentally disabled adults and their families in obtaining available services.

Janine Gerbino's education history includes a Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding from U.S. Career Institute, which they obtained from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from City University of New York-College of Staten Island, graduating between 2012 and 2015. Furthermore, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from the same institution, which they undertook from 2002 to 2008.
