James Kennedy

James Kennedy has worked in several roles since 2006. From 2006 to 2012, they were a Government Consultant at Tessada & Associates, then a Senior Account Manager at Carahsoft from 2012 to 2015. At Thermopylae Sciences + Technology from 2015 to 2019, they were a Sales Operations and Financial Operations Manager and a Commercial and State Local & Educational (SLED) Senior Account Executive, Google Cloud for Work. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Sales Operations Manager and Director of Billing Operations at CloudBolt Software. Additionally, they were a Supervisor at Kettler Capitals Iceplex from 2007 to 2009. As a Sales Operations and Financial Operations Manager, James was responsible for directing the navigation of Google's ordering/tracking, creating structure around a complex invoicing/ordering process, engineering the company's internal records system, managing billing and collecting owed debts. As a Sales Operations Manager at CloudBolt Software, they built Salesforce reporting and dashboards for multiple departments, performed bulk uploading, downloading and modifying of data for sales team efficiency, restructured the lead process and statuses to create actionable reporting for sales and marketing, built a sheet to show the path of a customer's first touch point at the lead stage all the way to revenue after completed sale, built custom objects for tracking the product's Proof of Concept stage and installed automation rules to track deal movement and revenue as tied to the Proof of Concept, and calculated commission amounts per quarter against quotas for BDRs, AEs, ISRs, SEs, Channel Reps and Sales Management.

James Kennedy attended George Mason University from 2006 to 2011, where they received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Management. In 2017, they completed a Professional Certificate from Columbia University in Corporate Finance. In February 2019, they obtained a Virginia Certified Notary from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
