April Kmetz

April Kmetz, CFE has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. April is currently working at Accertify, Inc. as the Director of Global Strategic Risk Services, a role they have held since November 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Sr. Manager of Customer Experience & Solutions - Managed Services at the same company from September 2019 to November 2021.

Before joining Accertify, Inc., Kmetz worked at The Walt Disney Company for over a decade. April'sroles included Fraud & Chargebacks Manager, where they were responsible for developing risk mitigation strategies and fraud analytics for various segments within the company. April also played a crucial role in the implementation and maintenance of third-party fraud software. Kmetz also held positions in E-Commerce Sales & Support and Training Delivery during their tenure at Disney.

Kmetz started their career as a Store Manager at Blockbuster, where they worked for eight years. April then worked as a Professional Intern at the Tampa Police Department for a brief period. Prior to that, they were a Loss Prevention Investigator at Lord & Taylor.

With their extensive experience in risk management, fraud prevention, and customer service, April Kmetz has developed a wide range of skills and expertise that make their a valuable asset in their current role as Director of Global Strategic Risk Services at Accertify, Inc.

April Kmetz, CFE has an extensive education history in the field of criminal justice and criminology. In 1999, they began their undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida and completed their Bachelor of Criminology degree in 2005.

April continued their education at the University of Central Florida, where they pursued a Master of Criminal Justice degree in Criminal Justice/Political Science from 2011 to 2013. Following this, they obtained a Crime Analysis Certificate with a focus on Data Management & Crime Mapping from the same university in 2014.

In addition to their academic achievements, April Kmetz obtained the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification in August 2014 through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
