Inga Watkins has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Inga began their career as the Managing Partner at Brown, Brown and Watkins, where they worked from 1984 to 1997. Following this, they served as a Senior Trial Attorney at Allstate Staff Counsel from 1997 to 2004. In 2004, they became a Partner at Bynum and Jenkins, PLC, a role they held until 2007. From 2007 to 2011, they were the Owner of Watkins Law and Dispute Resolution PLC. Inga then worked as an Adjunct Professor at Howard University from 2004 to 2017. In 2011, they joined the Federal Emergency Management Agency as an ADR Advisor. In 2013, Inga began their work at The World Bank as a Mediator and Consultant, and also joined Accomplishment Coaching as a Leadership, Life, and Conflict Management Coach. Throughout their career, Inga has gained extensive experience in various fields such as law, education, and conflict management.
Inga Watkins completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Communications from Rutgers University-New Brunswick from 1971 to 1975. Following that, they pursued a Juris Doctor degree in Law from The George Washington University Law School from 1975 to 1978. Later on, from 1997 to 2001, they attended George Mason University's school of Conflict Analysis and Resolution as a Ph.D. candidate, specializing in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution. However, they did not complete their Ph.D. and remained All But Dissertation (A.B.D.) at the time.
