We are seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to join a highly motivated AI research team having a huge impact company wide and supporting the company's effort to lead AI innovations. The team drives innovative initiatives on the intersection of AI/ML and NLP. This is a hand-on role that will be primarily focused on driving the design, development and delivery of new transformative AI/ML solutions to help our clients “Unleash Their Genius”. The ideal candidate will have the right aptitude and an imaginative, creative mindset, and has extensive experience with AI/ML research and solution delivery within an industry/academic setup. The individual will be comfortable working in an fast-paced and innovation-focused environment, including evaluation of trends and technologies to assess their feasibility and implementation of viable solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop machine-learning or deep-learning models and /optimize/customize/refine them
  • Use sophisticated models to create solutions, leveraging state-of-the-art academic research and tools, and iterate on it to improve
  • Design scalable systems using innovative architecture
  • Document use cases and develop component and interaction (sequence) diagrams
  • Design, development and delivery of tested code in an innovative and evolutionary environment
  • Work in teams, and provide effective, constructive feedback to the delivery leader
  • Manage client expectations and work with an agile mindset with machine learning and AI technology

Requirements:

  • Must have at least a Doctorate degree in any computationally-intensive mathematical field (statistics, computer science/engineering, applied mathematics, etc.) from a top-tier university or a research organization, including 2+ years of graduate-level research experience
  • 2 - 5 + years of work experience in a cutting-edge industry
  • Obsessed with data; analytical and rigorous with a thorough understanding of fundamentals, e.g. linear algebra, probability and statistics, machine learning and optimization
  • Experience in prototyping and deploying machine learning approaches
  • Experience with one of the following: Tensorflow, PyTorch, or any other deep learning/machine learning framework
  • In-depth understanding and practical experience of Artificial Intelligence, Quantitative and Qualitative Analytics, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and Unstructured data analytics
  • Several years of experience tackling hard data science and machine learning problems with the Python data science stack
  • Strong willingness and aptitude for learning new concepts and analytical approaches
  • Comfortable with probabilistic modeling
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with a team
