João Filgueiras

João Filgueiras is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, data science, and software development. Currently serving as the Lead AI Engineer and Co-Founder at AI-Penguin, João has previously co-founded HydraDev, where a small team grew into an elite software house. Experience includes a role as Senior Data Scientist at infraPLAN LLC, where João developed predictive models for water main failures, and as an AI Researcher at the University of Porto, focusing on AI applications for government optimization. João has also worked freelance as a Data Scientist, contributed to Toptal in various capacities including AI Technical Screener and Director of Engineering, and held earlier positions in software development and research. João holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Universidade do Porto.
