Katie Castree Benyo

Katie Castree Benyo, MHA has a diverse and extensive work experience in healthcare management. Katie started their career as an Administrative Intern at Carle Health, where they contributed to various projects and developed databases. Katie then worked as a Tele-recruiter at Rock River Valley Blood Center before joining Saint Louis University School of Public Health as a Graduate Research Assistant. In this role, they conducted data analysis and literature searches.

After completing their graduate degree, Katie joined SSM Health Care - St. Louis Network as an Administrative Intern, where they coordinated studies and planned large events. Katie then moved on to Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) and served as a Performance Improvement (PI) Specialist, managing projects and training Six Sigma Green Belts. Katie also completed a fellowship program and led a successful project to improve the review and approval process of evidence-based medicine order sets.

Katie'smost recent role was at ACCUMEN Inc., where they started as a Manager, Laboratory Excellence, responsible for implementing operational excellence practices in hospital laboratories. Katie then became the Senior Director, Laboratory Excellence, overseeing the client relationship and providing financial expertise. Currently, they are working as a Client Account Lead (CAL), responsible for the overall delivery and execution of value to the client.

Katie Castree Benyo, MHA obtained a Master's Degree in Health Administration from Saint Louis University from the years 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Community Health from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 2006 and 2010. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained various certifications, including a Laboratory Quality Management Systems Certificate from the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) in July 2021, a TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer certification from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality in 2016, and an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from ASQ - World Headquarters in March 2015.
