Bin Zhang has a well-rounded work experience in the field of medical imaging, with a focus on algorithm development, software release, project management, and team leadership. They started their career as an Image Reconstruction Software Engineer at Philips Healthcare in March 2007 and held this role until July 2012. From August 2012 to September 2016, they worked as a Sr. Imaging Scientist at Philips Healthcare. During this time, they contributed to the development of various commercial molecular imaging products and led a technical team. In October 2016, Bin Zhang was promoted to Lead Imaging Scientist at Philips Healthcare, where they continued their work on algorithm development and software release for medical imaging products. They also took on additional responsibilities such as project management, collaboration management with research sites, and team leadership. In September 2021, Bin Zhang transitioned to the role of Sr. Staff Scientist at Accuray, where they continue to contribute their expertise in medical imaging. Throughout their career, Bin Zhang has been involved in the filing of 20+ patents, showcasing their innovative contributions to the field.

Bin Zhang has a solid education history. In 1997, they started their undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering at Dalian University of Technology, which they completed in 2001. Following this, from 2001 to 2003, Bin pursued a Master's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering at Utah State University.

Bin Zhang continued their educational journey by enrolling in the University of Utah in 2004. Over the course of three years, they completed their PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering in 2007.

In 2013, Bin decided to expand their knowledge and skills beyond engineering. Bin enrolled in Cleveland State University and pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Projects and Operations Management. Bin successfully obtained their MBA in 2015.

Bin's dedication to lifelong learning is evident in their additional certifications. In 2018, they completed the Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera. Bin further demonstrated their commitment to staying current in the field by obtaining several AI-related certifications in 2021, including: AI for Medical Treatment, AI for Medicine Specialization, AI for Medical Prognosis, and AI for Medical Diagnosis. These certifications were obtained through the Coursera platform.
