Kirsten Hungate

Kirsten Hungate is an accomplished educator and curriculum consultant with extensive experience in literacy and volunteer coordination. Currently serving as a Curriculum Consultant and Reading Specialist at Achieve Now since September 2022, Kirsten previously held the position of Program Coordinator at Read Ahead, where responsibilities included leading literacy mentoring sessions for young students. Kirsten's background also features a role as Manager of Volunteer Certification at The Good Dog Foundation, where the training and certification of therapy dog teams were overseen. Additional experience includes positions as a Learning Specialist, First and Second Grade Teacher, and Private Literacy Instructor. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Science in Education from Bank Street College of Education.
