Shao Huang has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and analytical sciences field. Starting in 1996, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Chemistry, Rutgers University, where they conducted research on trace metals characterization. They then moved on to work as a Chemist at the University of Florida and later at Conair Inc., where they developed methods and performed testing of personal care products.
In 1998, Huang joined Akorn Inc. as an R&D Scientist and later became an R&D Supervisor, leading a team in developing and validating analytical methods to support regulatory submissions of pharmaceutical products. They were responsible for preparing analytical sections of regulatory filings and overseeing the purchase and qualification of analytical instruments.
In 2002, Huang joined Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals as a Sr. Analytical Research Chemist. Over the years, they progressed to roles such as Research Manager / Group Leader and Sr. Research Manager, where they led group activities in analytical method development and explored new technologies for product development and manufacturing support.
Currently, Huang is the Director of Analytical Sciences at Aclaris Therapeutics, Inc., a position they started in November 2022.
Throughout their career, Huang has demonstrated effective leadership, technical expertise, and experience in various analytical techniques, making them a valuable asset in the pharmaceutical industry.
Shao Huang earned a Doctor of Philosophy - Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Arkansas. This educational achievement occurred between the years 1991 and 1996.
