Angelique Phillips

Capital Punishment And Posthumous Pardons Campaign Researcher at ACLU SoCal

Angelique Phillips is a dedicated legal professional currently serving as a Research Fellow at the University of California, Irvine School of Law and as an Executive Editor for the UC Irvine Law Review. Angelique holds the position of Certified Law Student at UCI Law Criminal Justice Clinic, where responsibilities include researching and investigating cases, conducting client interviews, and drafting motions for clients facing various legal challenges. Previous experience includes a Law Clerk role in the Noncapital Habeas Unit at the Federal Public Defender, volunteering in the Expungement Clinic at Community Legal Aid SoCal, and conducting pro bono research for ACLU SoCal. Alongside legal pursuits, Angelique managed a business, Angelique, Ink, for over a decade as a mentor and creative professional. Currently pursuing a J.D. at UC Irvine School of Law, Angelique's academic background also includes a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Azusa Pacific University.
