Jaime Paredes is an experienced paralegal and policy assistant with a strong background in immigrant rights, democracy, and civil engagement. Currently serving as a paralegal for the Immigrants’ Rights Project at the ACLU since February 2023, previous positions include policy assistant at the ACLU of Northern California and paralegal roles at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Friedman Kaplan Seiler & Adelman LLP, and Public Counsel. Jaime Paredes holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science in Public Policy and Human Development from Maastricht University, supplemented by studies at Sciences Po.
