Terence Dougherty

Terence Dougherty is the Deputy Executive Director for Operations & General Counsel at ACLU. Terence has been in this role since August 2005. Prior to that, they were an associate lawyer at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP from July 2002 to August 2005, where they specialized in nonprofit and tax law. From October 1998 to July 2005, they were an associate lawyer at Fried Frank, where they specialized in tax law.

Terence Dougherty attended Oberlin College for their undergraduate degree, where they studied English Literature, American Theirtory and Viola da Gamba performance. Terence then attended Columbia Law School for their Juris Doctor.
