Edwin Blakey

Edwin Blakey has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. Edwin started their career as an IT Assistant at Families First NY in 2002 and worked there until 2005. Edwin then joined PRG as a Systems Administrator and later became the Helpdesk Manager. In 2010, they transitioned to the role of Senior Exchange Administrator and worked there until 2015. In 2015, Edwin began working at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall as a Systems Administrator and eventually became the Senior Systems Security Administrator. In 2019, they moved to Dutchess Community College as the Director of Information Systems and held this position until 2023. Currently, Edwin is the Director of IT - Infrastructure & Operations at Acorda Therapeutics, Inc.

Edwin Blakey attended Marist College from 1998 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science.

In addition to their degree, Edwin also obtained several certifications. In November 2015, they obtained the ITIL Foundation certification from APMG-International. In December 2016, they achieved the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate - Office 365 (MCSA) certification from Microsoft. In January 2017, they obtained the Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert - Productivity (MCSE) certification from Microsoft.

Furthermore, Edwin obtained multiple networking certifications from Cisco. In September 2017, they became a Cisco Certified Network Associate - Routing and Switching (CCNA). In November 2017, they obtained the Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) certification. In January 2018, they achieved the Cisco Certified Network Associate - Datacenter (CCNA) certification, followed by the Cisco Certified Network Associate - Security (CCNA) certification in May 2018.

Lastly, Edwin obtained the VMware Certified Professional 7 - Desktop and Mobility (VCP7-DTM) certification from VMware in September 2018, and the Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate - (Cyber Ops-A) certification from Cisco in November 2018. Edwin'smost recent certification is the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) from Cisco, which they obtained in November 2022.
