Duncan Procter

Duncan Procter has a diverse work experience, beginning their career as a Voluntary Research Assistant at the University of Bristol in 2011. Duncan then worked as a Research Technician at the same institution from August 2011 to August 2012. In 2012, they pursued a PHD in Biology at the University of York until March 2016. From May 2016 to May 2018, Duncan worked as a Research Associate at the University of Bristol, primarily focusing on the ENABLE project, utilizing statistics and machine learning to analyze human activity in built living environments. In 2018, they became an Honorary Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol until December of 2019. Duncan then transitioned to the corporate sector, joining Admiral Group Plc as a Data Scientist from June 2018 to December 2019. Duncan subsequently advanced to the role of Lead Data Scientist from December 2019 to July 2021, and finally became the Chief Data Scientist from July 2021 to February 2023. Currently, Duncan holds the position of Director Data Science at Acorn Insurance and Financial Services Limited, starting from February 2023 onwards.

Duncan Procter obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Durham University. Duncan pursued their passion for evolutionary and behavioral ecology by completing their Master of Science degree at the University of Exeter.
