Steve Muise

Director, Operations & Infrastructure at Acorns

Steve Muise is currently the Director of Operations & Infrastructure at Acorns. Prior to this, they held various positions at Amazon, most notably Software Development Manager, leading a team of engineers to develop the Android and Fire OS core platform components for Amazon Appstore.

Steve has also led the team that built the Data Collection and Analysis engine for Appstore, collecting nearly 20GB an hour of raw mobile analytics data. This was the core ad-hoc analytics and analysis engine used for clickstream, app usage, purchase and install data.

In their role as AWS Mobile Analytics Manager, Steve oversaw a Big Data system that collected mobile event data from 100M+ devices at a burst rate of 85M+ events every 5 minutes. The data was collected, cleaned, stored, aggregated and a real-time dashboard presenting dozens of KPI's and Metrics for App Developers to measure success.

Most recently, Steve has been managing the Prime Now 3P Logistics and Operations team. They specialize in measuring the performance of the operational teams responsible for picking and packing orders in 3rd Party stores and Whole Foods (coming soon). They also provide the tooling for staff management and capacity planning for those stores.

Steve Muise attended California State University, Fullerton, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies. Steve then attended the University of Washington.
