Shumpei Kishi

Shumpei Kishi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Shumpei began their career in 2010 as an Administrative Staff/Attache at the Consulate of Japan in Bangalore, India, where they worked as an English-Japanese translator and coordinated trips for Japanese diplomats. In 2012, they joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan as a Public Relations Officer for the Overseas Japanese Nationals Safety Division. Shumpei then transitioned into web development, working as a Freelance Web Developer from 2014 to 2015 and subsequently as a Web Developer at Outcrop Communications Ltd. from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, they worked as a Software Engineer at CI&T before joining Johnson & Johnson as a Web Developer from 2017 to 2018. Currently, they are employed at Acquia, where they have held progressively more senior positions, including Senior Solutions Engineer from 2019 to 2020, Master Solutions Engineer from 2022 to 2023, and now serves as the Lead Solutions Engineer.

Shumpei Kishi earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Advertising from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh from 2005 to 2008. In 2014-2015, they obtained a Diploma in Web Development and Interactive Design from the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts. Additionally, they hold several certifications including AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (obtained in September 2022) and various Acquia certifications in Drupal development obtained in 2016 and 2018.
