Ed James

Ed James has a diverse work experience spanning many years. Ed started their career as a Trainee Solicitor at Whitehead Monckton Solicitors in 2002 and later worked as a Commercial Solicitor there. Ed then joined Ward Hadaway as a Corporate Finance Associate before moving to The Bannatyne Group in 2010. At The Bannatyne Group, they held various roles including Legal Counsel, Director & General Counsel, and Group Company Secretary & General Counsel. In 2020, Ed became a Non Executive Director at The Education Village Academy Trust. Ed later joined Action for Children as the Interim Head of Legal & General Counsel and subsequently became the Head of Legal & General Counsel. Currently, Ed is a Non Executive Director at Samphire Star Education Trust.

Ed James attended Durham School from 1993 to 1998. Ed then went on to study at the University of Leicester from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Later on, they attended the College of Law in York from 2001 to 2002 to complete their Legal Practice Course (LPC).
