Brian Morrow

Brian Morrow has over 8 years of professional experience in software engineering and systems administration. Brian began their career in 2012 as a Linux Systems Administrator at ibiblio.org, where they developed puppet recipes and python scripts to manage a cluster of CentOS-based linux servers virtualized on VMWare vSphere. Brian also supported end-user issues with web hosting (via Apache/MySQL/PHP) for 200+ sites, including Project Gutenberg, 1500 user accounts, and hosted email and radio streaming services. In 2014, they joined Epic as a Senior Software Systems Developer, where they identified and resolved authorization & authentication issues in the C#, Java, Swift, and React frameworks for MyChart, the #1 patient portal app in the world with 150 million users. Brian then transitioned to a Senior Software Systems Developer/Team Lead role, where they coordinated multi-release development plans, reviewed specifications for government regulations and RFPs, and managed internal and customer escalations to resolution. Brian also lead the development of a fully responsive patient-facing web app. In their current role as Senior Full Stack Engineer at AcuityMD, they are working on a robust, comprehensive analytics solution for MyChart using JavaScript, C#, and high-performance webservices.
