Bridgette Daries

Bridgette Daries has extensive work experience in the field of IT and management. Bridgette has served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Aculocity since December 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd. as the Chief Information Officer (CIO), where they managed significant budgets and ensured the effective integration of technology investments. In their role as the IT Manager, South Africa and Botswana, they successfully delivered a project portfolio worth R140 million ($9.6 million), facilitating a smooth transition from Chevron to a standalone entity.

Before joining Astron Energy, Daries held several positions at Chevron. Bridgette served as the Infrastructure Manager for Africa-Pakistan, overseeing IT infrastructure and systems in 15 countries. During this time, they also led the IT restructure, resulting in a 30% reduction in staff. Bridgette was appointed as an Executive Director of Chevron South Africa from 2015 to 2018.

Daries also held various roles at Chevron's marketing division (formerly Caltex), including IT Manager for South and Central Africa and IT Account Manager. As part of the Global Marketing IT group, they ensured alignment between global and local marketing IT solutions. Additionally, they established the IT Project Management Office (PMO) for the Africa-Pakistan Region and managed important IT projects.

Prior to their time at Chevron, Daries worked as an IT Consultant and Web Developer for Charcol Online Mortgage Bank, where they consulted on the development of their online platform. Bridgette began their career at Chevron (formerly Caltex) as an SAP ABAP/4 Developer/Programmer, specializing in ABAP/4 queries, online programs, reports, interfaces, and customizations.

Bridgette Daries' education history begins in 1990 when they matriculated from Kensington High School. In 1995, they attended Cape Peninsula University of Technology and obtained a National Diploma in Information Technology. Moving on, in 2002, they enrolled at the University of Cape Town and earned an Associate in Management degree. Continuing their education, in 2006, Bridgette attended the University of the Witwatersrand for a Management Advancement Programme. Finally, in 2011, they completed the Leading Executive Programme at the Graduate School of Business - University of Cape Town.
