Jim McKenna has extensive work experience in human resources and management roles. Jim started their career as a Store Manager at CVS Pharmacy, where they managed various stores and was responsible for employment practices. Jim then transitioned to Field HR Manager, where they recruited, selected, and developed management trainees and pharmacists while leading company diversity efforts. Jim eventually became the Manager of Field Recruiting, overseeing a team responsible for recruiting and selecting management candidates and pharmacists. Jim also managed recruiting and payroll budgets, trained new HR recruiters, and supervised employee relations activities. Jim continued to progress in their career and became the Field Compensation Manager, designing and implementing compensation programs for field personnel. Jim then became the Human Resource Administration Manager, managing a team responsible for processing personnel data and implementing policies. Jim later joined CVS Pharmacy's corporate office as the Employee Relations Manager, where they developed and monitored internal programs and policies and coordinated HR activities in acquisitions and divestitures. Lastly, they worked as the Director of Human Resources at Acushnet Company, where they developed talent management strategies and national recruiting programs.
Jim McKenna earned a Certificate in Human Resources from Bryant University in 1987-1988. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1978-1980. Additionally, they attained an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from Cape Cod Community College in 1976-1978.
