As an expert in clinical systems improvement, Dan Low brings over 20 years of clinical experience and visionary leadership to AdaptX, with published research spanning patient safety, human factors, lean methodology, and medical technology. Dan has frequently been invited to present lectures, in the United States and internationally, on clinical transformation, physician engagement, continuous clinical improvement, and using real world data to improve patient outcomes.
Dan stays grounded in the everyday practicalities of delivering quality care by serving as an Attending Pediatric Anesthesiologist at Seattle Children’s Hospital, where he has fostered teams committed to continuous improvement. Dan is a passionate educator, and he has received numerous teaching awards as an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Washington. As an expert in systems improvement and human factors, Dan has also been sought after for consultation on non-healthcare safety and team performance issues, including improving U.S. Navy operations and commercial aviation teamwork. Dan received his medical education in the United Kingdom at the University of Nottingham.
