Joe Maslanka

Divisional Vice President at Admiral Security Services

Mr. Maslanka, a Certified Protection Professional, has been in the security industry for 24 years. He has worked his way through the ranks, starting in 1994 as a Security Officer for a major security company in Philadelphia, PA. He worked within several disciplines including recruiter, Account Manager, District Manager and Vice President/General Manager overseeing operations in Florida and the Mid Atlantic. Over the course of his career Mr. Maslanka has earned awards for excellence in management and has received recognition for community work, most specifically for outstanding service in honoring Victims of 9/11 by the Miami Police Department in 2003. Mr. Maslanka joined Admiral in 2006, to work in the Richmond Metro area where he and his family have resided since 2004. Under his leadership, Admiral Security Services has realized over 400% growth in the Central Virginia Division.

Mr. Maslanka served on the Private Security Services Advisory Board for the Department of Criminal Justice for the Commonwealth of Virginia 2007-2012. He is a member of the Richmond, VA chapter of ASIS and received his recognition as a Certified Protection Professional in August of 2006. He also holds membership with Virginia Manufacturers Association and International Real Estate Managers Association where Admiral was recognized as an “Industry Partner of the Year” for 2010; he serves on the board for the Police Athletic League and the Government Sub-committee for the Richmond Business Council for the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce. He is also a third Vice President on the board of the Central Virginia Crime Clinic. Mr. Maslanka is a United States Marine veteran and graduated summa cum laude from Strayer University with a Bachelors of Administration Degree in Business Administration and Human Resources.
