Lucas Mendes de Oliveira

Lucas Mendes de Oliveira is a seasoned Senior Product Designer at Automattic since September 2021, contributing to various renowned products. In addition to this role, Lucas serves as a Product Design Mentor at adplist.org, recognized as a top 1% mentor in both September and October 2022. As a Partner and UX Strategist at Capyba Software Studio, a design-driven software studio, Lucas co-founded the company and leads design initiatives. Previous leadership includes serving as Local Leader for IxDA Recife, where Lucas facilitated community events, and as a Lead Experience Designer at ThoughtWorks, enhancing product design capabilities for multinational companies. Lucas's extensive background in UX design spans multiple roles, including mentorship at Porto Digital and CESAR School, user experience design at CESAR and Interaction South America, and coordination roles at TEDxUFPE. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Design of Digital Artefacts from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco and a Bachelor’s degree in Design and Visual Communications from Anglia Ruskin University.
