Ian Cohen

Ian Cohen is a legal professional serving as the Global IP and Data Protection Counsel at AECOM, where they also hold the role of Lead Intellectual Property Counsel for the Americas. They oversee all intellectual property matters impacting AECOM's Design and Consulting Services division, while simultaneously acting as the primary attorney for various legal matters across the Gulf Coast and neighboring states. A seasoned litigator with extensive experience in construction, commercial, and intellectual property disputes, Cohen has previously practiced at prestigious law firms and clerked for the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine. They hold a J.D. from Boston College Law School and dual degrees in Civil and Structural Engineering from Tufts University. In 2024, Cohen became a founding member of Cyber Counsel Group, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering in-house cybersecurity lawyers.
