John Ficca

Project Director at Aegis Project Controls

John Ficca began their career as a Fabricator at Fingles Metal Works in 2004. John then transitioned to the US Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate in 2009 and served until 2016. After their military service, they returned to Fingles Metal Works as a Project Manager/Estimator from 2017 to 2019. Following this, they joined Aegis Project Controls as a Project Controls Engineer in 2019 and was later promoted to Project Control Engineer. Currently, they work at Aegis Project Controls as a Project Director, starting in October 2022. Additionally, they gained experience as a Reactor Systems Intern at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission from 2015 to 2016.

John Ficca attended Eastern Technical High School from 2002 to 2006, where they earned their High School diploma with a focus on Mechanical Drafting and Mechanical Engineering CAD/CADD. John then went on to enroll at Nuclear Power School - Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) from 2009 to 2010, specializing in PWR Reactors. Currently, they are pursuing a BS in Nuclear Engineering Technology at Excelsior University.
