Rebekka Tijsterman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Rebekka started their career as a Project Assistant/Management Assistant at Zwitserleven in 2003 and went on to become a Project Manager for Organizational Development before serving as a Change Program Lead and ultimately Secretary to the Board. In 2008, they transitioned to Aegon Nederland, where they worked as a Change Program Lead, providing support to the CEO and contributing to various change initiatives. In 2011, Rebekka joined Aegon N.V. as a member of the Global HR Management team, where they played a crucial role in building the company's HR function and supporting organizational change. Rebekka later took on the role of Process Manager for Management Committee meetings. In 2013, Rebekka became a Certified Partner at Management Drives Europe BV, facilitating individual and team development through Management Drives profiles. Rebekka then founded Tijsterman Change Management in 2016, where they served as the Owner and Consultant, undertaking key assignments such as Global HR Business Partner for Finance at Aegon NV and Program Manager for Senior Leadership Development Assessments. Rebekka returned to Aegon in 2019 as the Director of HR for the Corporate Center and Global Functions before assuming their current role as the Global Head of Culture Leadership & Talent. Rebekka is also a Board Member and Strategic Advisor at Teen Challenge Nederland. Throughout their career, Rebekka has demonstrated expertise in change management, leadership development, and organizational design.
Rebekka Tijsterman obtained a Master's degree in Culture, Organisation and Management from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Leadership Versatility Index, Management Drives for groups, and Management Drives for individual profiles in 2013.
