Cathal Mullane

Cathal Mullane has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Cathal is currently the VP Engineering at AerCap, starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at GECAS from 2012 to 2021, holding various positions. Cathal was the Airworthiness & Registrations Manager from January 2018 to November 2021. In addition, they served as the VP Technical: Project Management from March 2019 to October 2019, and as the AVP Leasing Operations from November 2016 to January 2018. At GECAS, Cathal was also the AVP Engineering Services from August 2012 to November 2016, where they were responsible for the planning, procurement, and delivery of airframe modifications. Before joining GECAS, they worked as an Engineering Services Consultant at Parc Aviation from October 2008 to September 2012, supporting the GECAS Engineering Services team. Cathal also gained experience at Shannon Aerospace as a Production Engineering role from October 2007 to September 2008, and at Servisair as part of the Flight Operations, Aircraft Dispatch team from March 2007 to September 2008. Cathal started their career with a co-operative education placement at Shannon Aerospace in 2003, where they worked on process improvements and performed aircraft inspections.

Cathal Mullane attended the University of Limerick from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (hons) degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Prior to their time at the university, Cathal attended St. Fintans CBS Doon, though no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this educational experience.
